Mission Federal Art Walk with Cirello Gallery

This past weekend was San Diego’s annual Mission Federal Art Walk in beautiful Little Italy. Five of my new Peaceful Chaos pieces were showcased at Cirello Gallery’s booth. It was a fantastic weekend of art and friends.

Dog Portrait

A collector commissioned me to create a small portrait of her dog, Niki, with a relatively neutral palate. I came to her home and photographed Niki in several locations with different lighting. The client and I agreed on the photo pictured below:

An art collector loved “Discussion”, and because it was sold, she commissioned me to create a similar painting of the same dimensions for her chic home in Los Angeles.

Girl Fest San Diego Launch Party

Hi there! Just wanted to share some photos from Girl Fest San Diego’s Launch Party! It was a huge success, complete with a captivated and overflowing crowd, a rockin contemporary violinist, self defence workshop, stand up comedy, powerful spoken word poetry, and an art show featuring some of my latest work.

I gave a presentation about the evolution of my technical style and inspiration, using various paintings as catalysts to explore gender issues, women empowerment, and relationships.
