The idea for “Electric Rain Project” stemmed from hours of conversation with my partner Chris about our creative desires while road-tripping through New Zealand. This series aims to illustrate the hopeful message that most people are capable of manifesting their own beautiful realities.

I invited nine friends over to my art studio, styled them in white clothing, and guided them to paint a drippy mural together. They then stood in front of their painting as I dripped colorful paint on their stark white clothing and bare skin, illustrating how they ‘created’, and then ‘became’, the awesome colorful environment.

“Electric Rain Project” is a multimedia series stemming from collaborative art-making. I referenced photographs taken from the collaboration to make the paintings,
I had a film created about the experience, and I collaborated with PGK Dance Project to perform an “Electric Rain Project” dance at San Diego Artwalk in front of thousands of guests.
