The Porto Vista Hotel commissioned Sarah to create a site-specific mural on their 5th floor rooftop. This iconic rooftop is home to “Top of the Bay”, San Diego’s original LGBTQ Happy Hour. Sarah honored the LGBTQ community in her mural “May You Always See Magic,” by celebrating a queer model and incorporating a rainbow pool float. Sarah honored Little Italy and its unique proximity to the San Diego airport by depicting the model pointing towards the water, and including the reflection of an airplane touching down in the figure’s sunglasses.
